Central and South America

CNH, a leading global manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment with about 11,500 dealers in 160 countries, had net sales of $13 billion in 2006. Of total net revenues, agricultural equipment sales represented 60 percent, construction equipment about 33 percent and financial services about 7 percent.

About 7 percent of our net sales of agricultural equipment and 10 percent of construction equipment were generated from sales in Central and South America. Globally, CNH has more than 25,000 employees, including more than 2,000 in Central and South America, and it operates 39 manufacturing facilities and 26 research and development centers.

Manufacturing locations are in Brazil at Belo Horizonte - crawler excavators, tractor loader backhoes, crawler dozers, wheel loaders, graders; at Curitiba - tractors, combines; and at Piracicaba - sugar cane harvesters, coffee harvesters, planters and sprayers.

In 2006, CNH was a participant in 11 agricultural equipment and seven construction equipment joint ventures. CNH Capital and CNH Parts & Service were in four joint ventures.
